The Meaning Behind the Evil Eye in Légacie London: Protection, Heritage and Fashion with Meaning

The evil eye has always been part of my life. As a proud Greek Cypriot, the eye is a powerful symbol of protection, luck and love in our culture. It’s something I wear every day - I have two bracelets, a ring, I keep keyrings of them in my bags and even have them around my home. It’s a belief system that runs deep for me and is a real cornerstone of my life.

That’s why it was never even a question about weaving it (quite literally!) it into Légacie London. It’s part of the logo and it’s also hidden inside every single piece - you’ll find it embroidered into the waistband. It’s my way of sending care and protection to every person who wears the brand, as well as offering empowerment to the wearer, it's my way of saying to you "I've got your back, I'm looking out for you".

For me, fashion has to carry meaning. I am a deeply sentimental person and I believe that clothes become more powerful when they carry stories, symbolism and emotion. The evil eye is just one detail but it represents what Légacie London is all about. Pieces that are designed to be loved, to last and to protect you every step of the way.
